Mr. Oliver and I took the boys up to the
zoo again this year...
and if you knew anything about me, you'd know that the zoo is probably #2385 on the list of my dream vacations- but, because I love my kiddos + husbee + it gets me out of the 110 degree temperature, I agree every year to make the 5 hour long drive and brave the masses to look at weird stinky animals.
[insert flashback to
June 2008]
This was our first encounter with The Zoo. We had just the one child and he was only 10 months old, not quite sure he got much more out of the trip but heatstroke.

...but Mr. Oliver had a jolly good time, as you can plainly see.

We spent 6 hours + meandering around looking at preggo elephants and what not...
[July 2009]I was preggo with #2 and we spent 6 hours+ meandering/waddling around looking at the elephants that were still preggo... and what not.
(Obviously this trip wasn't that memorable for me because as we were walking up the hill this last time...
(...of course I was panting and shouting for Mr. Oliver to "wait up!"...)
...I was being passed by a pregnant lady about ready to pop, and I yelled to Mr. Oliver "if she can do it, I can do it!"
To which he replied, "you did it last time while pregnant"
Me: (still thinking of trip #1) "I wasn't pregnant, I was just fat, you jerk."
but now, tonight, while writing this post I see that Mr. Oliver was in fact correct (as usual) and I was wrong (as usual) and he most certainly is not a jerk. (sorry babe))
[back to trip #3
August 2010]
What was suppose to be a little sprinkle turned into a downpour.
We spent 2 hours total racing from building to building...we even rode the merry-go-round and the train (Bubbas favorite part of course) Needless to say, next year I am soooo planning my trip on another rainy day.

*Please forgive the awful-blackberry-picturesque-photos I remembered to bring my batteries + charger with me but forgot my fancy schmancy camera.
Good thing Mr. O has a fancy schmancy phone.
