Goodbye (and good riddance) September.

Have you ever felt like taking a match to your house would be more productive than cleaning it up?

Oh, you haven't???....me neither.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Okay. Okay. Yes I have.
Infact thats how I've been feeling this whole month.
I've had several friends ask me if I've been "Okay?"
(thanks for caring, my peeps.)

and for a while there I thought fer sure I must be pregnant...
(don't be surprised, I think that every month. and don't worry I'm not.)
course Mr. Oliver told me that if I was...
he most definitely was not the father.
(Whoa. TMI ash. TMI.)

To make an incredibly long story short.
I'm SOOOOOO very happy tomorrow is October 1st!
(i can't wait for conference!!!)

picture this...

Grady running around like a crazy person
absolutely ignoring every bribe I would throw his way...
.
Bentley with spit up all down his shirt.
.
Me trying to fan myself, in the 100+ degree weather, while setting up the tripod and sprinting back to make sure I was kinda in the picture.

please note:
All of this was taking place on the blvd.
I'm sure all the old people thought we were insane.

*this would have been a cute picture except for what looks like a tumor creeping into the side of Mr. Olivers face, but is actually Bentleys ginormous head.

*I look like I'm trying to hard? I was. This was definitely a forced smile. I can't remember if it was before of after I told my 3 year old to stop being a butt head. (not my best parenting moment)

*Yes, that is hot glue on the bottom of that apple.
Grady ate it anyway.

what true love looks like.

True Love is sharing your expensive water
with your slobbery 8 month old + 3 year old.

(why do I even pay for water in the first place? you wouldn't be asking me that question if you had tried fiji water...)

butterfields antiques.

Never in all my life have I seen a house so very full of so many trinkets and treasures...

Grandma Alice has nothing on Mrs. Butterfield.

It is the scariest most wonderful place on the planet.
There are about 12 rooms completely full of
amazing vintage treasures.
and even though I felt slightly claustrophobic,
I was in heaven.

So if you happen to be in the lovely little town of
Saint George

you must take a moment or two
(or in my case an hour or two)
and stop by butterfields antiques to take a trip down memory lane.
(just make sure to tell someone where you are going incase you get lost)

248 East St. George Blvd

we will never forget.

almost done.

Maybe my crazy idea to move all my bedrooms
wasn't such a crazy idea after all.

I've almost got everything put away
and I love how it has turned out.

The boys sleep in their own rooms now
(a major feat for this mommy)

and we have a fantastic place to
sew/play choo choos/relax.

cleat wearing cowboy. (with no pants, naturally.)

Oh look- yet another picture where my child is wearing no pants.
(and I'm not even going to try to make up an excuse...
THE MAN HATES PANTS
I'm just tickled he's stopped running outside to
pee in front of the Canadian cactus lovers)

This is what he wanted to wear for the first day of preschool but because I like my children and didn't want them to get taken away, I made him change his clothes.

Mythbuster #1

Would you think it would be possible for a human being to eat an entire box of raisin bran in one day by.them.selves??????

................................

Its possible. believe you me. I just finished my last bowl.

(I think I may need a raisin bran intervention.)

This is the best picture I could find to help depict what I am talking about, except we don't buy no crap-maltomeal-raisin bran. we splurge on the real deal (only when I have a coupon though) and that guy kinda looks like Mr. Oliver, except my husbees a little more pasty.

rainy day at the zoo.

Mr. Oliver and I took the boys up to the zoo again this year...

and if you knew anything about me, you'd know that the zoo is probably #2385 on the list of my dream vacations- but, because I love my kiddos + husbee + it gets me out of the 110 degree temperature, I agree every year to make the 5 hour long drive and brave the masses to look at weird stinky animals.

[insert flashback to June 2008]

This was our first encounter with The Zoo. We had just the one child and he was only 10 months old, not quite sure he got much more out of the trip but heatstroke.

...but Mr. Oliver had a jolly good time, as you can plainly see.

We spent 6 hours + meandering around looking at preggo elephants and what not...

[July 2009]

I was preggo with #2 and we spent 6 hours+ meandering/waddling around looking at the elephants that were still preggo... and what not.

(Obviously this trip wasn't that memorable for me because as we were walking up the hill this last time...

(...of course I was panting and shouting for Mr. Oliver to "wait up!"...)

...I was being passed by a pregnant lady about ready to pop, and I yelled to Mr. Oliver "if she can do it, I can do it!"

To which he replied, "you did it last time while pregnant"

Me: (still thinking of trip #1) "I wasn't pregnant, I was just fat, you jerk."

but now, tonight, while writing this post I see that Mr. Oliver was in fact correct (as usual) and I was wrong (as usual) and he most certainly is not a jerk. (sorry babe))

[back to trip #3 August 2010]

What was suppose to be a little sprinkle turned into a downpour.

We spent 2 hours total racing from building to building...we even rode the merry-go-round and the train (Bubbas favorite part of course) Needless to say, next year I am soooo planning my trip on another rainy day.

*Please forgive the awful-blackberry-picturesque-photos I remembered to bring my batteries + charger with me but forgot my fancy schmancy camera.
Good thing Mr. O has a fancy schmancy phone.

Helllooo September.

I've never liked September.

(Sorry to everyone who has a birthday this month, if it makes you feel any better I don't like January + August either.
and if that didn't make you feel any better
I dislike nickels as well- they're ugly.)

Geezzzz...what an ornery way to start out September, I promise more happy thoughts and pictures coming your way tonight but right now the salvation army is calling my name.

*Mr. Oliver says that it most definitely is not,
and that I'm just hearing voices.
