once there was a boy...

who pee'd everywhere.
[and I won't mention any names]
but he didn't like peeing in pottys.
only flushing them or flushing things down them.
and its driving his mommy crazy.

lunch before festival.

The kiddos were starving
and we knew we didn't want to battle
hungry + hot kids at the festival
so we stopped by dickeys bbq in bloomington
we'd never been before,
its like a pregnant ladies dream come true.
all the pickles and ice cream you can eat
for freeeeee.
except the idea of a community pickle jar
kinda made me wanna gag,
so this pregnant lady just stuck to the free ice cream
and nabbing bites of the kids macaroni and cheese
when they weren't looking.
Bentley caught me almost every time...
and he wasn't even interested in eating it!
but he certainly wasn't going to share...

Grady looks terribly unimpressed with the joint.
but he ate almost every single one of his dinobites.

Afterwards we gave a lady with a
"stranded. car won't start. need help"
a couple dollars
she said "bless you"
which apparently isn't good enough for Grady
he screamed out "YOURE WELCOME!!"
to the gal and in return got another
"bless you baby."

kite festival.

Boy did we have a good time roasting at the kite festival
poor Bentley looks like hes gonna pass out.
He NEVER wants to ride in the stroller
but he was to dehydrated to care, I guess.
Thank heavens there were snowcones nearby.
[even Gradys fauxhawk couldn't stand the heat any longer]

I took pictures of the kids in the bouncy house,
and twirling around on the strawberry ride,
and ellie with her awesome new kite.
but I took them with my fancy schmancy camera
so chances are it will be a couple months before you see them.
unless its after july...then maybe a couple years.
Just know, eventhough it was a whopping 93 degrees
we had thee best time ever!

swimming.

Bentley has found a new favorite activity,
everytime we are even remotely close to our rec center
he asks "whimming. whimming?"
Grady has taken quite a liking to water too!
He doesn't mind getting his face wet,
and is pretty daring when it comes to going out on his own...
mommy is pretty content with sitting on pools edge
with a camera + pottery barn magazine
[how i feel about the germs in the public pool is an entire other post for another day...]
thank heavens I have a wonderful husband
who loves whimming with his little boys.

fun with the syretts

After visiting Logandale for the fair
we headed up to St. George
for cute little Genesis' first birthday!

This is Grady and his love Siri
he loves her "cause shes pretty and she has an ipad"
really, what more does a man need?
AND she gave him bubbles and a cool police truck
just cause.
he was completely smitten.
Love my little crinkle nose smile benners.
Eating cake and ice cream by the pool...
 "whimming" in the "poo"

Happy Birthday sweet little Geni!

clark county fair.

"nothing I know of can make you fall in love,
like a night at the county fair."
[i had that song in my head all week]
Thursday April 12, 2012
After getting lost twice on the way...
[you didn't know people could get lost in logandale huh?]
thank you iphone.
we finally made it to the Clark County Fair

After arguing for five minutes about how to hold hands
they finally decided on "nerd style"
[thats what wy calls it, I love holding hands like that, but he refuses too]
guess that makes me nerdy.

Grady was nice and gentle with this little chick.
Bentley smushed its head in and almost murdered it.

Grady loved looking at all the different livestock.
and was so excited to tell me that
"roosters are daddies...and chickens are mommies."

Bentley just kept trying to escape.
the wonderful + darling Mrs. Perkins
showing the kiddos how they bathe and blow dry the cows
before we cut them up and eat them*
* i added that last little bit.

"boy,  you so cotton candy sweet, you givin me onset diabetes."
-thats my fair pick up line i used on Mr. oliver.
it worked.
 We watched Freddy Fusion
he was actually quite funny, at least I thought so
so eventhough in this picture I look slightly annoyed
I was infact having a goodtime.
All in all i was impressed with the clark county fair.
We plan on going next year too...
and dressing in our best ghetto cowboy glam.

easter cards + goodies.

Thanks Oma + Papa for sending the cards with stickers and money!
As you can tell, the boys were soooooo excited
to get a letter in the mail!

crazy bowtie brothers

on their matching pink four wheeler...
This picture is like a small glimpse into the future.
I'm guessing its full of
crazy stunts + broken bones + pink four wheelers....
and my favorite, matching bowties.
love you boys. xoxo

easter morning.

That silly easter bunny,
he left clues for us to find our easter baskets this year.
clues in the fridge, the bathtub, by our toothbrushes,
and even in the microwave!

Grady thought it was quite funny
and was so very excited to see the easter bunny left him
the sock monkey that sings
"da da know hooooooow...
the club can't even handle me righhhh nooowww..."

and after of couple days of clubbing
mom said she was going to make rabbit stew
by cooking the easter bunny.
and Grady said
"but mom! if you cook the easter bunny!
then we won't have anymore easters!"

ugh. you're right grady.
better not boil the easter bunny.

Bentley was a little less excited about his monkey
it sang the lame "dj got us fallin in love again song.."
and apparently its not as hip.
but he was REALLY excited about his chocolate bunny
so that kinda made up for it.

Afterwards we had the traditional Oliver family Easter breakfast
and listened to Motab as we got ready for our 1 oclock church.
It really was a perfect easter morning!

Easter fun.

Chris & Casey invited us and the chesleys over
for Easter dinner this year.
We were so happy they did!
Not only is Casey thee best cook ever
but we kinda like their company...
Oh, and they're house is massive/awesome/full of fancy shutters + fridges

the boys had so much fun hunting for eggs after dinner
it was their first time this whole entire holiday...
(lame mom alert.)

Braylee found two eggs and put one in bentleys bucket...
(what a sweetie!)
he said "Thanks." and then loved her forever.

Grady looks like hes in pain,
but hes really just annoyed
that his mom interrupted precious egg hunting time
to take a picture....see the fingers?
thats a classic impatient + annoyed grady sign.
ha. if the eyebrows didn't already give it away...

and darling aubree...
she was more than happy to show me her full basket.

How can a gal be so lucky to have such wonderful besties?
love you ladies. (and to their awesome hubbies...wy loves you...)

HAPPY EASTER.

10 things to be grateful for this Easter.
1. bishops blessings.
2. glue guns.
3. my sweet hubby.
4. traditional breakfasts.
5. any food made by our friend casey.
6. preggo ladies. lots of them.
7. my excited little boys.
8. a sneaky easter bunny.
9. spiritual church meetings.
10. Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice.

26 weeks preggo

This picture wants desperately to be sideways.
don't ask. cause I don't know.
...talk to the hand...

ha. I'm really not telling wyatt to
'talk to the hand'
in this photo...
and to be quite honest I never really cared for that phrase.

this was a "ugh don't take my picture puhlease...
I'm 26 weeks pregnant...
and boy do I feel 26 weeks pregnant."

but oh holy cow, we sure love that little guy in there.
He moves like crazy, especially during temple sessions,
or whenever daddy calls his name.
and I can't believe we've only got 3 months left
until we get to hold him...and squeeze his chubby cheeks.
(based on his brothers, the cheeks thing is an assumption i'm allowed to make)

*and incase in anyone is wondering...
I did infact strut around mesquite in my yellow polkadotted pants.
they're comfy...and "eh, it's mesquite."

group hug.

playing + having fun + giving lubbins.
when Tegan came over to play.

"daredebil."

Grady has turned into quite the evil knievel
He loves doing crazy things
I sent this picture to my dad and he said
"that looks a little daring for Grady...
I thought he was more on the cautious side"
yeah. so did we.

and its not just the picture that has me concerned..
(some of you might be thinking I'm a little overprotective)
we were driving down one of the streets in Mesquite...
the type of street you throw your hands in the air on,
and Grady says:
"Mom, we should pull over
and I can ride my scooter way fast down the hill."
...but you don't have a helmet.
"its okay...i don't need one."
Agh. Yes you do.
Mommy can't take anymore head crackin boys.

coloring eggs.

I was so very happy when Angelina called us
and invited over to color easter eggs
with her and her cute family.

She found a cute new way to paint with
baking soda + coloring and then use the vinegar
over the top of it and watch it fizz.

Bentley came too,
but he apparently was too cool
for any egg coloring
and stayed in the living room
messing around with daddy + Jarred.
(and sweet baby ella.)
Thanks for the fun night Noel Family!

date night.

thanks to my awesome family
for giving us a date night last night.

we so needed it.
[sometimes Mr. Oliver is normal smile challenged.]

shopping at smiths.

They're already fighting over who gets to drive the car...
