dearest blog.
I'm so sorry I have neglected you the past couple of days. I'm still drowning in laundry...(it never ends) and organizing and reorganizing things (ask brother oliver, he'll tell you all about it.) I can't seem to FINISH ANYTHING!!!(except for that package of oreos...yep. finished that off.) I'll start one task/project and then move on to the next and...crap, the two year old has just eaten an entire pack of 'double bubble stride gum' I better go before he explodes.

funny little mister.

As i've been sitting here blogging the boys have been eating breakfast, grady looked over at me and said "wanna play a gggaaammme????......toogetherrr????" So, so long bloggingland, i'm off to play whatever crazy game grady has come up with.
promised camping photos 1
This year we went camping for mr.olivers birthday! my boys were in heaven! the mom, not as much...but it got better as the night went on...(especially when we had delicious dutch oven chicken)
he was such a little trooper.
this picture was taken after we had just spent the night..all night...freezing our bums off. he was clinging to the car saying 'i wanna gooooo hoooommmmeee...' he quickly got over it once it warmed up.
cute matching camo pants...and the cute little girl in the tummy was saying 'get this fatty off of me.' (its okay if she says it, its his girlfriend)
we didn't catch anything but grady thought that fishing was the best thing in the world! Thanks to our super awesome friends for a wonderful weekend!!!!
promised camping photos 2
I guess the great outdoors brings out the lovey dovey side in grady **take note future wife**
Wyatt, still sporting his sweet stache. I honestly can't tell you if he still has it, or if he even had it when we spoke in church and to be quite honest, i was surprised when I looked at this photo- why is that?? weird. (he's sleeping so i just snuck in to see, yep he still has it. goober.)
what a good helper...RIP: binki. we threw it in the fire, because he wasn't minding. We are mean parents, i know and i think we scared our friends.
first of all nobody should look this good pregnant, moreover nobody should look this pregnant+camping! and she started that fire all by herself. amazing, huh???
My little chubbers, he was such a trooper.
for sherrie.
I have an adorable friend who introduced me to freezer stenciling- by introducing me to this blog: iammommahearmeroar.blogspot.com/search/label/freezer paper stenciling and I am in love.

I took a $2 shirt from walmart and turned it into a $2 shirt from walmart with an owl on it! (wyatt says the owl makes grady look too girly, i say the pink toenails do, but whatever.) I think I sprayed it with too much bleach (cause I think I used the entire jug)...but lesson learned. Not to bad though for $2 right??
* i tried to make it easy peasy and set up a link, but i'm not smart enough. 'so sorry.' [[said in an old man english accent]]

Happy [belated] Fathers day!
Seriously. Why am I always a day late and a dollar short? Here are my list of excuses why I missed my fathers day post.
1. We were camping until Saturday....
2. ...and then we had to take Grady to see Toy Story 3...
3. ...then we had to speak in church...
4. ....and I went with the missionaries to a discussion....
5. ...then the elders stopped by and we gave them cookies and powerade. yum.
but enough of my excuses, I've got some pretty wonderful men in my life I need to thank!
my cuppycake.

I have thee best husband. ever. Mr.oliver loves spending time with his boys. If he's not working, he can be found playing with them, reading to them, or making them bologna sandwiches. Thank you sweetie, for honoring your priesthood, for the cute and encouraging love notes you leave around the house, for the yummy panini sandwiches, for being an example, and for renting chick flicks because you know i want to see them. for sitting in the car when I just want to "run" into a thrift store or yard sale. and for showing me you love me everyday. xoxoxo.

my dad.

Being a farmer is a sun up to sun down job but my dad still was able to spend time with us daily. He is the most funny man i know- and can always make me laugh! Thanks dad for taking the time to take us camping, helping us with homework and painting my house, making us do tough things i.e. running for student council, and making us baked bread and fruit leather, for teaching us how to change tires, the value of hard work and can peaches, for singing 'put your shoulder to the wheel' and 'saturday is special day' while making us clean on saturdays to drown out our whining. Just like the day I mowed "I love my dad" into our 11 inch tall grass...I still mean it. p.s. thanks for not putting me in stupid hats when I was younger. oh wait.
Papa.

If you're wondering why Mr. oliver is such a great husband and father, you don't have to look far. Thanks Papa for raising such a wonderful son! thank you for the great example you were to him. and thank you for everything you've done for us, thank you for the many times you've come to see us and made it possible for us to come see you!thank you for the flowers and the valentines day chocolates. for the cute stuffed animals you bring grady when you visit, and for the darling book. we wish we were able to see you more often! we miss you and we love you!
my grandpapa: "shel-don"

I am one of the luckiest gals alive to have such a neat grandpa! Thanks gramps for the many things you've made me. The puppet, and the little house jewelry box being me favorite! Thank you for all the many many letters you've sent to me on your customized letterhead! for the bluegrass band tapes you made, for teaching me to play the banjo and your neat piano that can play itself!!! Love you.
paz.
I'm sad to say I dont have a picture of wyatts grandpa "paz" its a crying shame! especially because I love that man! he is soooo funny! and has the cutest laugh you have ever heard. the first time i met paz he asked me if i "thought there was ice cream in heaven?" i replied that i hoped there was. and he said "me too, cause if not, i'm not goin." that and our love of tapioca pudding are some of the things we have in common. at almost 81 years old, he is the worlds best missionary, and spends hours on his computer doing genealogy! We love you paz! we miss you even more!

i { heart } nature
okay thats a lie. I {heart} mr. oliver, and that is why i went camping last week. It was his birthday last friday, and the only thing he wanted to do was go roast a marshmellow on cedar mountain. So we did..and we froze. but surprisingly enough, I had a wonderful time! (I think it had something to do with the company we had- we always end up dying laughing when they are around.)
I was going to insert photos [here]...photos of grady fishing, the snowball fight, the water feature mr. oliver and his bff built, matching camo pants (you would think that would be my idea huh? but it was wyatts..I know, say what??) me with my eight layers of clothes on, the birthday boy blowing out candles, my cute preggo friend making us yummy dutch oven, oh! and deer! (we took pictures for you papa lynn) and mr. oliver and his bff hanging from a railing over the cliff...but I can't find that white cord I was talking about in the previous post, and this time its not attached to my computer. :( I swear, sometimes I worry I just might misplace my children.

a tweet baby shower. awh.

The Saturday before last we had my darling {{Pffs}} baby shower, shes having a little girl in August (the 14th to exact.) and I can't believe shes already 30 weeks along! Holy cow! (she looks great though! doesn't she!??!) We had such a great time, playing baby bingo, eating yummy food, and talking with great friends! Thanks to everyone who helped make this day so awesome! (and to my wonderful husband who put up with his crazy party planning wife, and for watching the kids..mwah.)

yes, that is paint. yes, it really is. and yes, I did get in a whole lot of trouble from the mister. (I did it whilst he was sleeping, I felt like such a rebel.) Those are little kiddo pictures of the babys mommy and daddy (they are gonna have one dang cute kid eh?) anywho. the pictures are adorable and were just begging for a curly frame around it!

Making diaper cakes are alot harder then they look. phew. but oh so cute and oh so fun...You see I couldn't get the bottom to look right, so just stuck the diapers in a box and flipped it upside down.

Love you pff! I know you are going to be the bestest mommy! (you already are!) xoxo.

dear punctuation police:

aka my husband.
I went to school in Utah (apparently.)
and I wished I cared, but I don't.
mainly because when I do have time to blog,
that time is limited and cannot be wasted
on trivial things such as commas and dashes.
The end.
*thanks for letting me get that off my chest.
summer in mesquite.
I believe at the moment this picture was taken it was about four o clock in the afternoon and about 105 degrees outside. It has been slightly toasty down here in oldpeopleville, but the heat doesn't bother our little boy- and it doesn't bother me quite as much when I see how much fun he has playing in the water with his daddy.

I also got some really good shots of Grady being squirted in the back...he would laugh and say "daddy, I don't like'ed it." but for the sake of him thinking he won when he gets older- I just posted these. He thought it was the greatest thing to be able to squirt daddy, hear him yell and get him wet.

*an extremely BIG thank you to Becky, for the squirt guns tip and for buying grady a shovel and pail...they have made this first very hot week of summer endurable!

the bestest big brother.
If I ever had a big brother, I would have wanted one like Grady. He loves Bentley so much, and its easy to see.

Sometimes, when we leave to go somewhere I'll say:
"Come on, Grady...Bye, Bentley."
and while I would never ever leave Bentley here alone, its just funny to hear Gradys reaction:
"noooo, I want the baby to come too"
is what he usually says, I reply:
"oh you do? alright then, he can come."
the grin on his face is priceless and you can tell he truely believes he just saved his little brother from an afternoon alone.

I do however have to tell you about the one time Grady did get cross with his little brother...We were headed home from Saint George one evening and Bentley was sick of being in the car for the most of the day (running errands around town) he was fussy and thats when Grady, who usually doesn't mind, said:
"Baby. Please No cry! You'll wake my kitty up!!"
He was so worried that Bentley was going to wake up his imaginary kitty that everytime he would fuss, Grady would be in tears also. Wyatt and I thought it was very funny and cute, but we also thought maybe it was time to get our little boy a pet.
***********************************************
YUCK.
Now we look evenmore like chubby white trash.

This is wyatts shiny new...money pit. Grady and I call it "the lemon." and actually thats the only thing I do like about it: its yelloweyness. Grady on the other hand loves it, he is constantly asking if he can go check the mail in daddys car. (thats about as far as it will make it..) then again, he loves plastic broken matchbox cars from the dollar store. (which are probably worth more than this.)...I tease, and I didn't agree with Wyatt buying it- but do have to say I AM happy that he likes it so much, and that hes found a hobby that he enjoys.
